Search and Rescue has been the hallmark of the fire service since its inception.
It is a skill like any other, but it is a skill we as firefighters often don't get the opportunity to practice often. Ask yourself, when was the last time you practiced search in real conditions? Real fire conditions? Real smoke conditions? and in a furnished building? The answer for most of us is not often enough!
This class is designed to get the students into as real life conditions as possible and give them the tools to safely, aggressively, and expediently search for life at a structure fire.
The class will teach VES (1st and 2nd floor), oriented man search, CAN search, thermal imaging, rescue techniques, searching off a hoseline, and much more!
Be effective on the fireground, with a systematic approach and sound techniques to maximize the primary search.
